Operations Manager - UK

We are recruiting an Operations Manager for one of our clients based in Milton Keynes

Scope of role:

  • To plan and deliver business objectives and KPI's
  • Continuous improvement, with focus on efficiencies and objectives
  • Ensuring UK operations are audit ready and fully compliant
  • Manage and maintain site 5s standards
  • Responsibility for budgets, site security and health & safety
  • Looking after between 15-20 people within the UK team
  • Working with HR to source and manage staffing
  • Involvement in business development and new client integration
  • Lead the planned strategy/vision for the development of the UK operation
  • Regular interaction with existing and prospective customers

Skills & attributes needed:

  • A consistent background in managerial roles
  • Business management degree or a related field of study
  • Solid knowledge of distribution & logistics functions including customs compliance
  • Continuous improvement & LEAN - Six Sigma experience
  • Track record on delivery within tight budget deadlines
  • Awareness or experience within Technical/IT field - advantageous
