Lead BMS Technical Programmer

As a Lead BMS Technical Programmer at Honeywell, in Bracknell or Didsbury, you will be responsible for the programming and commissioning of Tridium based Energy Management Systems, using company tools and operating protocols. You will receive project specifications from the sales and/or commercial engineering team. Projects are fast paced, and are managed remotely for various National Account customers in North America. This is a hybrid role, 3 days in the office and 2 days remote.

Key requirements

  • Develop job specific programs by referencing schematics, sequences of operation, and field technician reports
  • Perform remote commissioning of system installations with on-site mechanical and/or electrical contractors
  • Provide customised quality assurance checkout documentation to the Project Manager for use in commissioning and validation
  • Provides technical support to salesmen, installers, and customers and participate in solution of job-related problems acting as a technical subject matter expert resource to projects team and customer as needed
  • Reports job status and installation discrepancies to Project Managers for final report to customers and remain accountable for quality, timeliness and efficiency of programs and commissioning

Key skills and qualifications

  • Previous experience programming new, Tridium-based building automation systems ideally with Tridium N4 programming experience
  • Understanding of advanced control strategies
  • Completion of Tridium Niagara AX training or equivalent experience
  • Associates degree in software development, engineering or related field, or in lieu of degree HVAC / BAS application development experience.
  • Good communications skills and the ability to work well in a team environment
