This vacancy is within Customer Services, reporting to respective Team leaders in the Technical Data Support and Services function, SIDS3. The role holder is responsible to update and author the Illustrated Parts catalogue and operational data and documentation to international specifications. This involves initial publications at aircraft launch and updating the documentation to mirror product improvements.

This is done using both engineering and publications applications including digital delivery formats. Liaison with both internal and external Customers and suppliers of source data to resolve day-to-day problems and more complex issues is normal. In addition, the role will cover provision of information to "reactive support" queries and "in-service" issues, as well as the feedback of customer needs and 'in-service' issues to engineering design.

Responsibilities

  • Analyse the content of repair and production drawings, technical notes and other source data
  • Analyse vendor data and in-service reports
  • Identify any impact on customer needs as result of this information
  • Provide answers to customer queries
  • Provide relevant data to meet customer maintenance and operational needs
  • Ensure that all information is communicated in line with airbus policies, processes and procedures
  • Work with others to ensure effective service to customers
  • Refer complex or airworthiness issues and queries to correct areas
  • Plan own tasks to meet customer needs
  • Provide feedback on customer needs
  • Represent department at decision-making meetings trans-nationally
  • Provide Network/subcontract management to deliver tasks to Time/Cost/Quality
  • Support key strategic projects & initiatives

Skill Set

Essential

  • Previous experience of authoring, verification & validation in Technical Data Manuals specifically IPC
  • Good knowledge of aircraft maintenance, repair and production processes and procedures
  • Practical experience of engineering/aircraft maintenance advantageous
  • Project management capability and willingness to get involved
  • Excellent English Language skills, both written and verbal
  • Good communication and inter-personal skills
  • Ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team
  • Computer literate

Desirable

  • Experience of Tech Request tool desirable
