An exciting opportunity has arisen in our Group Finance team for an Assistant Management Accountant to join us on a permanent basis. Reporting directly to the Senior Management Accountant, you will take responsibility for the finance function of our Auxillis business. You will oversee transactional team revenue and cost postings, conduct month-end valuations of WIP, commissions, and accruals, and assist with group recharges.
This role involves handling policy sales accounting, conducting monthly debt reconciliations, and ensuring the integrity of our general ledger. Additionally, you will collaborate with peers, internal customers, third parties, and various departments to develop and enhance financial processes. Maintaining relationships with management, the transactions' function, business partners, and commercial finance is crucial for ensuring compliance with these practices.

Salary – £25,000 - £30,000 per annum based on experience.

About you
- First and foremost, you are currently pursuing your AAT qualification or working towards becoming a Chartered Accountant.
- You'll have excellent attention to detail and ability to plan, organise and work on multiple tasks simultaneously.
- You're able to use initiative, make reasoned decisions under pressure and are driven by process improvement.
- You have a solid understanding of general ledger processes and systems, with the ability to recommend improvements.
- Your ability to communicate effectively with key stakeholders in a professional manner will be crucial.
- Above all, you will have strong Excel skills, which are essential to succeed in this role.
