Description
- Provide advice and training on compliance matters to the team.
- Review and update company policies in line with legal requirements.
- Stay up-to-date with regulatory changes under the SRA.
- Assist partners with reviewing clients' terms and conditions of business and drafting engagement letters.
- Oversee the creation and implementation of compliance programmes.
- Handle any compliance-related issues that arise in relation to anti-money laundering, sanctions, conflicts, confidentiality, insider lists and anti-bribery and corruption. .
- Compile reports for the senior management team.
- Ensure all operations are conducted in a legal and ethical manner.
Profile
A successful Compliance Lawyer should have:
- A qualified lawyer in England and Wales.
- A degree in Law or a related field.
- Experience in legal compliance role, ideally within a law firm.
- Familiarity with industry practices and SRA standards.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Strong attention to detail.
- High integrity and professional ethics.
