Overview:

As a Retirement Living Officer, you will play a crucial role in supporting residents to live independently in a safe and supportive environment. You will be responsible for managing day-to-day operations within retirement living schemes, ensuring that the services are delivered to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide day-to-day support to residents, promoting independent living while addressing their needs and concerns.
  • Foster a positive community atmosphere, organizing social activities and events that encourage resident participation.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, conducting regular checks and risk assessments to maintain a safe environment.
  • Handle tenancy-related matters, including new applications, allocations, and rent management, ensuring adherence to housing policies.
  • Collaborate with external agencies and support services to provide comprehensive care and assistance to residents.
  • Maintain accurate records, manage correspondence, and prepare reports as required.

About You:

  • Previous experience in a similar role within housing, social care, or community support settings is essential.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with residents and stakeholders.
  • A good understanding of housing management, health and safety regulations, and issues affecting older people.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work autonomously.
  • A caring and compassionate approach, with a genuine interest in enhancing the quality of life for older adults.
