Our client, a leading supplier of fresh produce is on the lookout for a proactive and dedicated Shift Manager to join their team. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about quality, efficiency and team development.

About the Role

As the Shift Manager, you will be at the forefront of the production operations, ensuring that products meet the highest standards of quality and are delivered on time. Your leadership will be key in driving safety, efficiency and continuous improvement within the production team.

Shifts: Continental shift pattern

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Leadership & Safety: Lead by example, ensuring a safe working environment and fostering a culture of safety awareness. You'll be responsible for safety reporting and leading investigations when necessary.
  • Team Management: Motivate and develop a dedicated production team. Conduct appraisals, manage daily operations, address employee relations issues, and support training initiatives.
  • Quality Assurance: Maintain stringent quality controls, ensuring products meet customer specifications and industry standards. Collaborate with the Technical Department to uphold food safety and compliance.
  • Operational Efficiency: Drive production lines to meet customer orders efficiently, balance workloads and continuously seek ways to improve line performance.
  • Cost Management: Monitor and optimise labour and material usage, minimise waste, and contribute to cost-saving initiatives.
