Installation & Maintenance Electrician

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Installation and Maintenance Electrician to join the team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical equipment in office and laboratory settings. This role requires a strong technical background, attention to detail, and a commitment to ensuring the safety and reliability of electrical systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and equipment in office and laboratory environments.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical issues, providing effective solutions to ensure minimal downtime.
  • Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals to execute projects accurately.
  • Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance tasks to ensure system reliability and safety.
  • Collaborate with other team members and departments to coordinate project activities and ensure timely completion.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant safety regulations, codes, and standards.
  • Maintain accurate records of installations, maintenance activities, and repairs.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of process improvements to enhance efficiency and quality.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to junior electricians and apprentices.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as an Installation and Maintenance Electrician, preferably in office and laboratory settings.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, equipment, and components.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and manuals.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong understanding of safety regulations, codes, and standards.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Relevant certifications or qualifications in electrical installation and maintenance (e.g., NVQ Level 3, 17th/18th Edition Wiring Regulations).
