Here at Long-Term Teachers, we are working closely with a Primary School in the BS35 area of South Gloucestershire who are looking for a Year 5 Teacher to join their team to cover Maternity Leave with an ASAP Start,

You will be joining a 1 form entry Primary School who aim to build a supportive and progressive education for their pupils by working collaboratively with the staff members to provide inclusive learning opportunities for everyone.

The Role

If successful, you will be joining the school as a KS2 teacher, covering Maternity Leave.

You will be working closely with other Class Teachers and Teaching Assistants and will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging and effective lessons that align with the national curriculum.

The Head Teacher is looking for someone who can be flexible but bring their own initiative and creative ideas to planning and day to day KS2 activities.

You will be expected to:

  • Hold great knowledge of the KS2 curriculum.
  • Ability to differentiate lessons well to ensure everyone is able to access the learning.
  • Create an engaging learning environment
  • Have a great understanding of SATS preparation
  • Communicate well with other KS2 Teachers.
  • Provide a safe and caring learning environment for the pupils
