Senior Finance Analyst

Are you a qualified or part-qualified finance professional who enjoys using data (SQL) to solve PnL business problems that define the business's growth? Do you enjoy working with people as much as you like working with numbers?
This is a data-driven role (where you will also face off with stakeholders) sitting in the finance team of a fast-paced, fast-growing fintech in the payments space.
THE ROLE:
- Track Key Performance Indicators, conduct thorough analyses on revenue and gross margin drivers, making recommendations for optimisation
- Perform analysis of customer behavior and pricing strategies to aid business decision-makers in making financially prudent choices.
- Aid the Sales team by providing data drive insight into customer pricing and profitability, and offering commercial support during tenders.
- Contribute to the quarterly budgeting and forecasting process with your insights into customer behavior.
- Manage critical aspects of the month-end process to provide Management and Board reports, including insightful and actionable commentary.
- Lead individual projects, such as developing the unit economics model
- Work with the Data team to enhance and expand current data visualization efforts.
YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Experience in financial roles, showcasing your capability to generate detailed analyses and insights.
- Strong academic credentials and a self-motivated approach - this is a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
- Recently or partially qualified in CIMA, ACA, or ACCA.
- Experience using SQL and ideally with experience using Business Intelligence tools like Tableau.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data, create hypotheses, and generate innovative solutions to financial challenges.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of simplifying complex financial information for non-financial stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Excel.
- Experience in fintech is advantageous but not mandatory.
