The company has opportunities for a Printer working in our Reflex Label site in Barwell.
Roles and Responsibilities
- To ensure all printing tasks are carried out to high standards and that the standards are maintained.
- To operate and maintain production speeds on your shift and setting times to targets and record / report in areas where this is not possible.
- To work constantly towards production improvements in methods, to eliminate potential quality problems and reduce downtime.
- To liaise with the production manager to achieve best possible machine utilisation with minimum wastage, while ensuring excellent quality, at best possible delivery dates.
- Work as part of a team supporting colleagues and sharing information.
- To follow all aspects of Quality Control and Quality Assurance in the Print Department and ensure accurate records are maintained.
- To ensure your team work and maintain safe working systems to ensure personnel are kept free from injury and operations are safe and efficient.
- Ensure collaborative working within the Print Department via good communication.
Requirements
- Proven experience with flexographic printing processes.
- Experience with water based and UV ink technology
- Strong problem-solving abilities.
- Capability to work with minimal supervision.
- Excellent organisational and self-motivational skills.
- High accuracy and attention to detail.
- Experience within carton-board manufacturing is desirable but not necessary
Hours – The role involves 12 hour shifts, 36 hours per week, on permanent nights.
