Description
- Efficiently managing and reporting on company costs.
- Preparing monthly cost reports and analysis.
- Collaborating with team members to understand and control costs.
- Implementing cost-control measures.
- Identifying variances between actual and budgeted costs.
- Assisting in budget preparation and financial planning processes.
- Working closely with procurement and operations teams.
- Ensuring cost accounting activities are in accordance with the company's procedures.
Profile
A successful Cost Controller should have:
- A professional accountancy qualification eg CIMA, ACCA, ICAS or QBE
- A proven track record in cost control within the industrial/manufacturing sector.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong numeracy and financial management skills.
- Proficiency in relevant software applications.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
This role will be 3-4 days a week on site in Glasgow so candidates must be able to attend
