Academics LTD are currently working with a large number of primary schools in Redbridge, London that are seeking pro-active graduates with a good understanding of mental health to work as a teaching assistant for the full academic year from September 2024.

This role is working with a mainstream primary school in Redbridge, London which is easily accessible via trains and busses as well as a car park for those who drive.

As a specialist graduate teaching assistant, you will be working with children on a 1 to 1 basis during the schools date. The children that you will be working with will all be in mainstream primary schools. You will be allocated to one school for the full academic year. Working with children from 5-11 years of age. These children will have identified behaviour, SEMH, SEN including ASD that require your expertise on a full time basis.

You will be working with pupils in the classroom and in specialist 1:1 mentoring sessions. Some pupils will display more challenging behaviour and the school will be able to train you in suitable interventions and approaches.

This school will offer excellent support and training to all new starters.

As part of these pupils support team, you will work closely with the schools SENCO and senior management team as well as outside agencies including therapists, healthcare professionals and CAMHS.
