We are currently working with a Social Housing Provider in Hertfordshire to assist them in sourcing a Procurement Lead for their organisation.

They are actively seeking an experienced Procurement professional with knowledge of the social housing sector and a strong understanding of the Procurement Act.
The succesful applicant will be in charge of the organisations entire Procurement Function and also work alongside the Assurance directorate to ensure that complex insurance approvals are best value. As part of your duties you will be responsible for the supervision of a Procurement Officer and have the ability to communicate with different members of staff up to Director level.
Your day to day duties will include:
- Procure for a comprehensive portfolio of insurance cover at the best price.
- Analyse claims to identify opportunities, threats, and trends and ensure the business understands and responds to these.
- Support, educate, and influence the business on early reporting of areas that could give rise to a claim, making changes to insurance policies and claims management and mitigation.
- With the support of the Procurement Officer maintain Contracts Register - ensuring electronic and or hard copies of contracts are kept filed as appropriate.
- Take accountability for holding regular business partner meetings with your key stakeholders, embedding a contract management framework and holding colleagues to account.
- With the support of the Procurement Officer, ensure all general insurance queries and advice on matters of best practice and compliance are dealt with effectively and efficiently.
