Management Accountant

Robert Half are pleased to be partnering with a rapidly growing organisation based in Abingdon to recruit a Management Accountant. The Management Accountant will receive a salary of up to £50,000 along with other attractive benefits including hybrid remote working!

Primary responsibilities -

  • Monthly Closure Activities: Execute journal entries, accruals, and reconcile financial statements to ensure accuracy during monthly financial closures.
  • Balance Sheet Reconciliations: Conduct thorough balance sheet reconciliations, meticulously verifying the completeness and correctness of financial data.
  • Variance Analysis and Efficiency Enhancement: Analyse variances and trends to identify areas for improvement, driving efficiency gains across financial processes.
  • Collaboration and Process Streamlining: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline financial processes and enhance internal controls.
  • Management Reporting and Insights: Prepare management reports and presentations, effectively communicating financial performance and key insights.
  • Budgeting Support: Assist in the budgeting process, providing analytical support and assessing risks and opportunities.
  • Audit Compliance: Participate in audit activities, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements.
  • Proactive Process Improvements: Proactively identify opportunities for process enhancements and implement solutions to boost efficiency and accuracy.
  • Stay Current with Accounting Standards: Keep abreast of accounting standards and best practices to maintain compliance with industry regulations.
  • Ad-Hoc Projects: Support special projects and initiatives as needed.

Key experience and attributes -

  • 3-5 years of experience in a similar role
  • Experience with Monthly Closure processes, balance sheet reconciliations and financial analysis.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on accuracy and quality.
