Higher Level Teaching Assistant

The organisation is looking for a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join their education provision in Ilford, London where you will be working with an experienced team and in a culture where children are respected, listened to, and involved in as many decisions as possible.

?As a Higher Level Teaching Assistant / HLTA, your day will be varied and interesting you will be able to support their teachers by assisting in the classrooms or out in the community, whilst following a flexible structure and supporting their children and young people to unlock their passion for learning.

?The organisation's alternative education provision works with children and young people who struggle in their formal or specialised education settings; they offer education on an outreach basis or within one of their Ofsted registered schools.

?As the Higher Level Teaching Assistant / HLTA you will work within a Trauma-informed practice model where they can support and follow a therapeutic practice.

?Working as the Higher Level Teaching Assistant / HLTA their leadership team will invest in your progression as a professional in the Education sector. They source and deliver up-to-date opportunities and prioritise and discuss your personal development goals to ensure you get the most out of your career. They know how important it is that they look after you, so you can look after the children who need you.

They are a small and friendly team based in the vibrant community of Ilford, London and their school is a special educational needs school (SEN) with a unique, relaxed, and focused atmosphere.

Their goal is to create a learning environment where emotional well-being and academic success walk together, enabling each child to succeed. They work with children with social, emotional, and emerging mental health needs.

?Hours

  • Term Time, this goes in line with the local authority
  • Full-time hours are 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday 8:30 am - 4:30 pm

The role is full-time over 5 days per week, however, if you would like the opportunity for part-time or compressed hours, they would be happy to speak to you about this.
