R2R Accountant

Marc Daniels are urgently recruiting for a R2R Accountant to join a well-known automotive company based in Bracknell for a 6-month contract initially. This is a great opportunity to join a well-established company and get involved with the Record-to-Report process.

This role will be right for you if you have a strong understanding of financial accounting, have experience of working with a shared service centre and are available immediately or at short notice.

This role features hybrid-working and flexible hours.

Responsibilities:

  • Support correct revenue recognition under IFRS15.
  • Assist with COGS and Inventory data quality checks.
  • Book after sales provisions (Warranties and prepaid maintenance).
  • Support correct Lease accounting under IFRS 16.

Support the maintenance of Fixed asset registers (Capitalisation, depreciation, disposals, Company cars).

  • Raise accruals, provisions, prepayments as required.
  • Perform balance sheet account substantiations and analysis (including intercompany and stock).
  • Posting of month end journals.
  • Maintenance of intercompany balances (and charges within policy).
  • Liaison with Shared Service Centre to support accurate financial close.
  • Contribute to management of month end timetables and ensure clear communication of all deadlines.
  • Report on issues encountered during the month end close, support investigations and activities into their cause and resolution.
  • Support European finance improvement initiatives as required.
  • Support on going measures to improve data quality and enhance reporting.
  • Work within all current Governance and Compliance frameworks, ensuring all relevant processes are up to date, compliant and documented.
  • Work closely with internal and external stakeholders as a recognized Finance process expert.

Requirements:

  • A part qualified accountant with experience of a financial control environment including knowledge of month end processes, intercompany, reconciliations/substantiations, and fixed asset reporting.
  • IFRS accounting knowledge. (desirable).
  • Excellent communication & networking skills, quickly able to establish credibility with stakeholders.
  • Self-driven and motivated to succeed with the ability to prioritise workload to tight deadlines.
  • Audit, risk management and compliance experience.
