Our client is a leading Main Contractor in the North West, with a strong pipeline of significant Build schemes throughout the region. As Design Coordinator, you will play a critical role in the successful delivery of high-profile commercial projects. You will be responsible for coordinating all design activities, ensuring that the project meets all design requirements and is delivered on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:

Design Coordination:

Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other design professionals to ensure all design elements are integrated effectively.

Manage and coordinate the design process from concept through to completion.

Ensure design compliance with project specifications, standards, and regulations.

Project Management:

Assist in the development and management of the design program and milestones.

Monitor progress and provide regular updates to the project team.

Identify and mitigate design-related risks and issues.

Communication:

Facilitate effective communication between the design team, clients, and stakeholders.

Prepare and present design proposals and reports.

Coordinate design meetings and workshops.

Documentation:

Ensure all design documentation is accurate, complete, and properly maintained.

Oversee the submission and approval process of design deliverables.

Manage and control design changes and variations.

Quality Assurance:

Conduct regular design reviews and audits to ensure quality standards are met.

Implement best practices and continuous improvement initiatives in the design process.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Design Coordinator or in a similar role within the construction industry, ideally with a Main Contractor.
- Strong understanding of design processes, construction methods, and building regulations.
- Excellent project management and organisational skills.
- Proficiency in design and project management software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, MS Project).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
