Senior Bookkeeper - Highly reputable practice!
A long established and leading independent firm seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to join their growing team in their Uxbridge office.
The firm prides itself on providing a highly supportive and collaborative environment within a family orientated practice. They also offer hybrid working, including 2-3 days working from home, and flexible working hours - for example, to accommodate school runs, etc.
The ideal candidate will be able to work on their own initiative, with a keen eye for detail, and should have at least 2-3 years' experience in an accountancy practice.
The role is open to both Qualified and Qualified by experience individuals.
Duties:
- Posting client records to bookkeeping software
- Summarising and analysing expenses
- Reconciling balance sheet items including bank & cash accounts, VAT ledgers and sales & purchase ledgers
- Preparation and submission of VAT returns
- Dealing with ad-hoc queries that arise from your main duties
- Preparation and posting of Opening balance and payroll journals
- Preparation and submitting of CIS returns
- Client liaison and visiting client premises
Requirements:
- At least 2 years' experience working in an accountancy practice
- Ideally AAT Qualified
- Able to work on own initiative or as part of a team
