Key Responsibilities:
Systems & Processes:
- Train the finance team on the Exchequer system to ensure efficient and effective processes.
- Support new finance software implementation
- Manage sustainability data reporting and monitor supplier emissions.
Reconciliations:
- Oversee and authorise all monthly and year-end reconciliations.
- Address systematic errors and ensure efficient reconciliation procedures.
- Conduct balance sheet reconciliations as needed.
Month/Year-End Accounts:
- Review and reconcile month-end management accounts.
- Ensure complete and accurate data in line with the month-end timetable.
- Prepare year-end schedules and assist in audit preparations.
Commercial Operations Support:
- Oversee sales and stock data collation and loading.
- Address financial control issues with commercial operations managers.
- Develop performance reporting and recommend profitability improvements.
- Resolve sales to banking reconciliation variances.
General Management:
- Record and maintain process maps for key finance tasks.
- Provide ad hoc analysis to support strategic goals.
- Assist with finance training for staff.
- Deputize for the Head of Finance as needed.
