Payroll Coordinator

SCCI Alphatrack are looking for a Payroll Coordinator to take ownership of the payroll process for SCCI Group companies, approx. 450 people), simplifying the PAYE structure and improving the collation of monthly payroll data.

Main Purpose

  • Collate all required payroll data in a timely manner on a monthly basis to provide to the third-party service providers
  • Analyse payroll data obtained to identify any discrepancies or potential errors
  • Manage the third party service providers in delivering timely and accurate payrolls across all companies
  • Manage the development of the payroll process to support the expansion of the Group
  • Consolidate the number of PAYE schemes across the Group
  • Assist with the production of all UK statutory filing requirements including P11D and PSA returns
  • Drive for continuous improvement in the integrity and efficiency of operating procedures by working closely with internal & external partners to enable change
  • Provide management reports and analysis when required
  • Supporting the production and posting of the Nominal Ledger payroll accounts
  • Responsible for maintaining an adequate control environment - ensuring that controls are consistently executed and change control is applied appropriately
  • Keeping accurate and up-to-date employee records in accordance with HMRC and GDPR requirements

Key Performance Areas

  • Provide payroll data to third party service provider by agreed timelines
  • Reduce number of PAYE schemes across the Group
  • Improve the process of collating payroll data, specifically timesheet and overtime data

Skills & Experience

  • Payroll experience essential
  • Prior experience of Sage payroll would be beneficial
  • Prior experience of managing third party payroll provider's
  • Diploma in Payroll Management or equivalent
  • Stakeholder management, effective relationship building & building partnering skills
  • Analytical/data driven
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent knowledge of Excel

Parameters of the role

  • Wholly office based - Harlow
  • Full time, 8.30 - 5.30, Mon - Fri
  • Restrictions on annual leave at key payroll processing time
