Purchase Ledger Clerk Role Overview
Due to an internal promotion and continued business success, my industry leading client requires an additional Purchase Ledger Clerk to join their Payables and Master Data Team. This will be a fast paced and high-volume position that will require previous experience in a similar capacity in addition to a positive and proactive team focussed mentality and approach.
Purchase Ledger Clerk Responsibilities:
- Management of supplier queries, ensuring a prompt and effective resolution to ensure timely payments.
- Management of the department's inbox, liaising with other departments to ensure correct supplier information is maintained.
- Processing of supplier invoices
- Processing of supplier BACS payment runs to ensure suppliers are paid within agreed terms.
- Supplier statement reconciliations, requesting copy invoices as required.
- Working with the Credit Control team to support with the setting of credit limits.
Purchase Ledger Clerk Required Experience:
- Previous experience in a Purchase Ledger of Master Data position.
- A high degree of accuracy and attention to detail. With the ability to manage data accurately in a fast paced and high-volume capacity.
- Excellent communication and query resolution skills with the ability to identify and effectively manage discrepancies as required.
- Excellent organisation and time management skills.
- A customer focused approach to supplier relationships.
- The desire to progress in a Purchase Ledger career path.
- Strong computerised system and excel skills.
