The Supply Register are currently in working in partnership with Ark Acton Academy to find a passionate Maths Teacher to join their team from Septemeber 2024, in a maternity cover position with the potential to lead to a permanent role.
About the role
We are on an incredible improvement journey and we are sowing the seeds of greatness for our local community. However, there is still much to do and we are looking for a passionate Teacher of Maths who can help drive us forward. You will join our warm and friendly Maths team and contribute to developing Ark Acton into a great school by teaching a high-standard curriculum that will encourage students to have a passion for the subject, allowing them to reach their full potential.
We are looking for someone who shares our belief in disciplinary thinking and who will help improve and refine our curriculum thinking.
The ideal candidate will:
- Combine subject matter expertise with a passion for teaching Maths
- Have the commitment, skills and character required to be a team player
- Share the Ark Acton Academy vision and be aligned with the six pillars underpinning it
- Value and support practices driving continued progress across the network of Ark schools
Requirements
- Must have previous experience of being a qualified Maths Teacher
- QTS or equivalent teaching qualification
- Proof of Right to Work for the UK
- An Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service or be willing to process one
