Salary: £47,000- 54,000 dependent on experience

I am supporting an innovative Architectural practice who have earnt themselves a great reputation for their inspiring, unique and bespoke designs across a range of sectors. This dynamic practice have recently won a number of exciting projects and so a re keen for a talented Associate with an Architect background to join their social office in Edinburgh. With close to 3 decades of experience they have developed their expertise and grown their specialist team to cover a couple of disciplines such as project management, architecture and building surveyor. This is an excellent opportunity for a driven Associate Director to become an integral member of thriving practice, with a mix of lifestyle benefits whilst breathing new life into old buildings.

The successful Associate (ARB/RIBA) will have substantial Post part Three experience with some experience working at Senior level and across residential and listed building projects, you will be proficient with AutoCAD or ArchiCAD and keen to input to company growth.

Skills, Experience and Responsibilities for the role of Associate (ARB/RIBA):

  • ARB registered / RIBA qualified
  • At least 6 years post Part Three UK based Architectural experience
  • Proven track record of working on residential and heritage projects
  • Substantial experience job running
  • Experience leading a team
  • Boast design flare and creativity
  • Passion for innovation and sustainable designs
  • Excellent leadership skills
  • Past record of mentoring junior team members
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD and/ or ArchiCAD
  • Experience working across the RIBA stages
  • Experience working at Senior Level
  • Strong technical abilities
  • Liaise confidently with clients, contractors, relevant authorities and other professionals
  • Develop project briefs
  • Experience with financial aspects and budgeting of projects
  • Secure new architectural projects
  • Present design proposals to clients
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Keen eye for detail
  • Work across multiple projects simultaneously whilst meeting strict deadlines
  • Keen to input to company growth
  • Live locally to the Edinburgh area
