Our client is a leading University with this role sitting in the Enterprise Consultancy division.

You will be tasked with developing revenue growth opportunities, providing specialist expertise to external and internal stakeholders as to the potential consultancy projects for the Enterprise division of the University to be taking on.

Our client is a leading, London-based University and this role sits in the Enterprise Consultancy division. This division of our client's business offering focused on expanding the network of academics and innovation partners whilst driving revenue growth.

The management of consultancy projects is of huge importance to our client and the Enterprise division is responsible for the 'dot connecting' involved both internally and externally to make sure that Consultancy projects are aligned in the most commercially viable ways to and for all.

Description

Our client is looking for a consultative, business development-minded professional skilled at project management and assessing the needs and the scope of commercial opportunities in & across the Higher Education sector. Role specifics are below:

  • As Consultant Engagement Manager, you will provide specialist expertise to the academics in specified College departments to scope and price consultancy opportunities
  • Opportunities may be initiated by academics or the post holder may initiate them in conjunction with the Marketing Manager
  • This role promotes consultancy and its academic benefits to the College community, establishing links with academics and College support staff to engage more academics as consultants
  • Ultimately, you will be responsible for growing the amount of consultancy undertaken / number of participating academics in the academic departments within their remit and ensuring that all opportunities they develop are commercially viable, provide academic benefit and are aligned with governance and legal structures
  • Lead the provision of commercial mentorship to develop market priced consultancy proposals, identifying potential governance issues and making stop go decisions for these opportunities putting forward recommendations for handling more complex situations
  • Seek opportunities to increase consultant engagement/number of projects and follow up
  • Responsible for building and maintaining excellent working relationships with Senior Academics to new Lecturers and Research Associates from Faculties and Departments within the role's remit, developing a detailed knowledge of their research capabilities and activities and Departmental expectations/direction. You will also work with existing and new external clients, coordinating closely with existing internal relationship holders

Profile

Our client is looking for a relationship management expert, someone coming from the Higher Education space (ideally) who is in equal measure business development-minded and focused on the project management involved in dissecting commercial opportunities for the Enterprise division of the University to be focusing and working on.

Excellent attention to detail will be essential as will be a consultative and independent working style. Your experience will be in client-facing roles as well as facing inward when it comes to connecting the dots as to which stakeholders can help where. You will therefore be highly skilled at managing expectations whilst keeping a commercial focus on pipeline management.

Our client is looking to bring onboard someone with the above skills learned ideally in one of the following industry areas; Customised Education; Higher Education; Client Relationship Management; Project Management; Programme Recruitment; Apprenticeships; Executive Education; MBA Recruitment; Diploma Recruitment.

Job Offer

Our client is looking to pay c.£55-62k dependant on experience.

This role is a 6 month FTC with the possibility of it being extended, London-based (hybrid working set-up).
