Event Project Manager

Our client is an award winning, creative events agency designing and executing unparalleled experiences for world-leading brands, corporations, and life science companies.

Within this role you will be responsible for the planning and execution of highly complex events from conception through to completion. This role plays a pivotal role in orchestrating and executing pharmaceutical events, including congresses, investigator meetings, and advisory boards. This position demands a strategic thinker with a proven track record in the LifeSciences and pharmaceutical events industry.

Tasks

  • Support the Account Lead / Senior Project Manager with client relationship building
  • Lead project specific client meetings and calls involving multiple agencies.
  • Lead projects ensuring the highest quality standards are upheld throughout the project's life cycle, taking guidance from line manager.
  • Set, communicate, and drive timelines and priorities within each project.
  • Champion and adhere to company best practices and use of project management tools
  • Build and maintain effective strategic supplier relationships, negotiating beneficial rates and terms, manage contracting and ongoing communications with all third-party suppliers, leveraging volume discounts, undertaking contract reviews, and checking emergency procedures.
  • Lead onsite management of project (virtual or live)
  • Conduct full staff briefing and client walkthrough when arrive onsite (including walkthrough slides)
  • Schedule and conduct all hotel / supplier pre cons (live only)
  • Dynamic risk assessment and emergency planning
  • Conduct full debrief with internal team prior to client de brief and provide live examples of where improvements can be made.
  • Using Cvent to a very competent
  • Good knowledge of industry codes of conduct, such as the PhRMA Code in the United States or EFPIA Code in Europe
  • Develop, mentor and coach all direct reports ensuring periodic meetings to discuss progress and review development plans.

Salary package

  • £34,000 - £38,000
  • 25 days holiday per year plus bank holidays and bonus Christmas holiday allocation
  • Discretional Annual Profit Related Bonus (not guaranteed) You must have been employed by the company for a minimum of 6 months to be eligible to join the discretional bonus scheme and to be eligible to receive any 'general company annual salary increases' (effective January of each year).
