Commerical Finance Analyst

We manufacture and distribute a range of branded frozen food products across 20 European countries with the United Kingdom, Italy, Germany, Sweden and France representing our five largest markets.

About the role

Group commercial finance sits at the heart of the commercial organisation, providing business support, challenge and governance to Group commercial. Whilst also providing commercial finance teams in markets with tools and skills to enhance the commercial planning and analysis functions.

The purpose of this role is to provide financial support to the Commercial teams, including marketing, sales & RDQ, and help to support the wider commercial finance team in delivering excellent business partnering.

The commercial finance analyst is responsible for the management of the central A&P budget as well as owning and maintaining central channel reporting and analysis both of which are critical to the business

They will also play a role in the 3 year Nomad strategic plan for commercial and the build of the annual plan.

A&P Budget management:

  • Budget management and forecasting of a budget circa €25m for central non-working A&P spend.
  • Share and present forecast and analysis to key stakeholders including marketing directors and CMO.
  • Work closely with central Accounts payable, marketing and insights teams to ensure forecast spend is delivered.
  • Post monthly accruals, prepayments and intracompany invoices related to central A&P as well as assisting indirect with any queries or reclass journals.
  • Submit Monthly LV to FP&A.

Sales Team Partnering

  • Prepare and maintain channel level reporting and monthly analysis providing insights on market performance and presenting at Nomad Channel connect meetings to all markets.
  • Ensure channel data reported is aligned to market reporting and reconcile any differences, becoming the expert in channel data and understanding all data sources.
  • Support channel specific projects with detailed analysis, updating profitability databases and scorecard KPIs
  • Connect with markets to understand key channel drivers to support value add commentary.

Strategic/Annual Plan:

  • Create and maintain the 3 year strategic plan model for Nomad Commercial, ensuring updates are made when required and the correct outputs are created.
  • Partner the marketing teams through the AP submission and review process.

Enable Commercial Finance team to deliver on key projects & Business Partnering:

  • Partner the marketing team on a day to day basis, helping them to understand the internal P&L category performance and innovation P&L dynamics.
  • Assist the team with ad hoc requests to provide insight for key strategy decisions.
  • Play a key role in supporting the project team with SAC integration

Qualifications

  • University graduate
  • Part Qualifed/Qualified
  • A track record of delivery in commercial finance role
  • Highly numerate + analytical, with good attention to detail
  • Able to work collaboratively with peers and deliver through team members
  • Organised, strong prioritisation skills and delivery to tight timescales
