Job Overview:

Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging and comprehensive maths lessons across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5, tailored to the needs of students with varying abilities.
- Teach a range of mathematical topics, from algebra and geometry to statistics and calculus, ensuring students gain a deep understanding of key concepts.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing timely and constructive feedback, while maintaining strong communication with parents and guardians.
- Lead and support extracurricular activities such as maths clubs, competitions, or tutoring sessions to deepen students' engagement with the subject.
- Stay current with the latest educational trends and best practices in mathematics teaching through continuous professional development.
- Maintain effective classroom management strategies, upholding school behaviour policies to create a focused and respectful learning environment.
- Collaborate with colleagues across departments to offer cross-curricular learning opportunities that enhance students' understanding and application of mathematics.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, with a specialisation in Mathematics or a related field.
- A degree in Mathematics, Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
- Experience teaching mathematics at the secondary level, ideally across Key Stages 3 and 4 (Key Stage 5 experience is a plus).
- Strong knowledge of the UK National Curriculum and relevant exam specifications (GCSE, A-Level).
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to make mathematics engaging and accessible to all students.
