A&E Nurse Needed

We are currently recruiting a dedicated and enthusiastic Staff Nurse. We are looking for a motivated, innovative Nurse with clinical knowledge and skills, excellent communication skills, and the ability to demonstrate suitability and experience for the position. You will need to be flexible, enthusiastic, and passionate about emergency care. To be considered for this role, you must be a Registered Nurse with acute post-registration experience.

Job Summary:

Assess care needs and develop, implement, and evaluate care programs. Teach and supervise post-basic learners and unqualified staff. Act as a key worker/named nurse for allocated patients.

Key Role:

  • Ensure high standards of nursing care in accordance with Hospital policies and procedures.
  • Maintain and update individual patient care systems to meet physical, social, and psychological needs.
  • Assist with introducing and implementing new nursing care ideas and methods, including research.
  • Communicate with relatives and maintain a good public image.
  • Manage the ordering, storage, administration, and documentation of drugs in line with Trust policy.
  • Monitor patient care, supervise juniors, and evaluate care delivery.
  • Ensure all patients' nutritional and personal hygiene needs are met.
  • Recognize cardiac/respiratory arrest and initiate basic life support as necessary. Escalate concerns about patient conditions to senior nursing staff or medical personnel.

Requirements:

  • Registered Nurse (RN1) with active NMC registration at the time of starting the appointment
  • Awareness and understanding of current acute health issues
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other staff members
  • Effective communication skills (written and verbal)
