Job Title: Programme Assistant - Corperate Assets Team

Employer: Cumberland Council

Salary: £32,076.00 per annum

Hours: 37 hours per week

Location: Parkhouse Building, Carlisle

Contract: Temporary Cover

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Corporate Landlord Manager with the smooth operation and management of the Corporate Landlord function within the Property department.
  • Process and use financial information derived from the Property Database (Concerto) and the County Council's corporate financial system (E5) to ensure accurate expenditure and income allocation.
  • Manage AR invoicing for rental income and recharges.
  • Handle invoices related to Corporate Landlord properties, including rent, service charges, and utilities (gas, electric, water).
  • Reconcile ad-hoc invoices and manage supplier payment queries.
  • Monitor budget management for Corporate Landlord properties and provide cost forecasting.
  • Respond to running costs requests for Corporate Landlord properties and manage certificate payments and budget manager reports.
  • Oversee the shared mailbox for capital and revenue queries on a rota basis.

Who We're Looking For

  • A Financial Administrator familiar with Microsoft Applications, Financial Management Software, and CAfM Property Management software.
  • Someone flexible in their approach, with the ability to plan and prioritise their workload independently or as part of a team.
  • A candidate who is tactful, diplomatic, and assertive when dealing with challenging situations.

Additional Information

While this role is office-based at the Parkhouse Building, Kingmoor Park, Carlisle, CA64SJ, there may be opportunities for some homeworking or working from an alternate Cumberland Council location.
