Our client is seeking a Qualified Audit Senior with an interest in the Not-for-Profit (NFP) and Charities sector to join their Heathrow office. You'll be joining a vibrant, sociable team and the role offers excellent training, ongoing support, and career development opportunities as well as the chance to progress to Assistant Manager further down the line for the right candidate. The Audit teams at the firm are currently seeing huge growth so it would the ideal time to join this progressive firm. Responsibilities include preparing accounts under UK GAAP and Charities SORP for review by NFP managers and RI.

Key responsibilities:

  • Planning, executing, and completing audits, reporting to managers and partners.
  • Preparing accounts, reports, and other assignments as needed.
  • Coordinating planning with clients and liaising with relevant departments within the firm.
  • Communicating and building relationships with clients and related third parties.
  • Leading on-site audit teams, completing jobs with minimal supervision, meeting deadlines, and staying within budget.
  • In some cases, directly reporting to the audit partner.
  • Becoming aware of business development, including promoting the firm and its services to existing clients and prospects.
  • Developing and supervising junior trainee
  • Opportunity for promotion to Assistant Manager.

The ideal candidate should have:

  • ACA / ACCA qualification.
  • Experience in Audit and Assurance within an accountancy practice.
  • Knowledge or experience in charities reporting and auditing (desirable but not essential).
  • Experience working within a team on external audit assignments from planning to fieldwork and completion stages under International Standards on Auditing.
  • Experience preparing accounts in accordance with UK GAAP, and ideally Charities SORP.
  • Ability to coordinate planning with clients and liaise with relevant departments within the firm.
  • Skills in leading on-site teams for audits, completing jobs with minimal supervision, meeting deadlines, and staying within budget.
  • Experience in developing and supervising junior trainees.
