What you'll do:
As a Senior Systems Engineer, your primary responsibility will be managing our client's on-premises and cloud-based server infrastructure. You'll utilise tools such as VMware vSphere, vCenter, ESXi, and Microsoft platforms to ensure optimal performance. Your role will also involve implementing best practices in systems management and security while maintaining some responsibilities for network infrastructure. You'll collaborate with IT teams to plan and execute system upgrades and migrations, ensuring the smooth running of operations.
- Administer and maintain on-premises server infrastructure ensuring optimal performance and uptime.
- Utilise VMware vSphere, vCenter, and ESXi to manage and optimise virtual environments.
- Manage Microsoft Azure Active Directory and Office 365 to support user and system management.
- Implement best practices in Office 365 administration including user management, security settings, and data compliance.
- Develop scripts for automating administrative tasks and system configurations.
- Collaborate with IT teams to plan and execute system upgrades and migrations.
What you bring:
The ideal candidate for this Senior Systems Engineer position will bring extensive experience in systems engineering, cloud platforms, and IT security practices. You should have a strong background in managing both on-premises and cloud-based infrastructures using tools like VMware vSphere, vCenter, ESXi, Microsoft Azure Active Directory, and Office 365.
