We are supporting a successful Machine Shop in their search for a Production Manager to oversee a special projects section. This is a newly created role overseeing a team of 8 Machinists and Fabricators delivering high quality products to strict regulatory standards. It is essential that the Production Manager has worked in a similar engineering environment and has a strong technical background.
Core duties include, but not limited to:
- Planning effective use of labour to meet production targets
- Chair/attend production meetings
- Manage all manufacturing queries in an effective and efficient manner
- Ensure all products manufactured are in line with customer specifications and produced to the quality standards required by relevant codes
- To be quality and cost conscious, and by adopting the right first time methodology
- Ensure labour and material is booked correctly on the ERP system
- Monitoring of weekly efficiency, monthly output and value added to the business ensuring business budget requirements are achieved
This role is Monday to Friday, 39 hours per week. The Production Manager reports directly to the MD and is a key member of the management team. This requirement is urgent and applications will be reviewed at speed. Apply today for immediate consideration!
