Hours: Monday - Thursday 8.30am - 5.00pm and Fridays 8.30am - 4.30pm

A leading provider of community health services in the north west of England. Providing high quality community and specialist services to people living in Warrington, Halton & St Helens. The majority of our services are delivered in patients' homes or at locations close to where they live such as clinics, health centres, GP practices, community centres and schools.

What you'll be responsible for:

  • Provide administrative and clerical support to the community clinics and associated health professionals.
  • Act as first point of contact for all client enquiries, responding to telephone and face to face enquiries in an efficient, tactful and professional manner, redirecting calls, taking action as appropriate. Liaising with internal services and partner agencies when necessary as directed.
  • Maintain patient booking system in the reception function to include the preparation and arrangement of appointments including inputting of referrals ensuring all clerical work resulting is dealt with in a timely manner.
  • Deal with all internal/external mail and redistribution to relevant department.
  • Book clinic and meeting rooms within the premises and keep room availability updated as appropriate and update and maintain clinical diaries as requested
  • Typing of reports in line with SLA's

This role may require you to show evidence of vocational level 3 qualification or at least 2 years relevant experience

You'll learn the following whilst working at the trust:

  • An in depth understanding of the roles and responsibilities involved in working within the NHS
  • Knowledge of the systems used, to effectively complete your role to the highest standard at all times
  • A sense of teamwork, gained through working alongside and supporting colleagues from all levels, within the organisation

You'll have the following skills/experience:

  • 4 GCSE's at grade C or above to include Maths and English or Key Skills equivalent qualification/ or a standard level of education
  • Experience of working within an administration and customer facing environment
  • Experience of Microsoft Word and other Microsoft packages
  • Experience of working in a clinic / office environment.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and written, with people at all levels
