Lego Therapist

As a LEGO Therapist, you will use LEGO-based therapy techniques to support and engage students with SEMH needs. Your role will involve designing and implementing therapeutic LEGO sessions that encourage creativity, improve social skills, and enhance emotional well-being. You will work closely with our multidisciplinary team to develop individualized therapy plans tailored to each student's needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and conduct LEGO therapy sessions tailored to students' individual needs and goals.
  • Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and parents to integrate LEGO therapy into students' overall support plans.
  • Monitor and document students' progress, providing regular feedback to the multidisciplinary team.
  • Create a safe and inclusive environment that encourages student participation and engagement.
  • Develop and adapt therapeutic activities using LEGO to address a range of social, emotional, and developmental challenges.
  • Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities.
  • Promote positive behavior and emotional resilience through creative and play-based interventions.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • A background in psychology, therapy, special education, or a related field (degree preferred).
  • Experience working with children and young people with SEMH needs.
  • Certification or training in LEGO therapy (or willingness to obtain certification).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Creativity and enthusiasm for using play-based therapy techniques.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting students' mental health and well-being.
