Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant

Position: Long-term with potential to become permanent
Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our alternative provision team in Manchester. This role involves supporting Key Stage 3 and 4 students on a long-term basis, with the potential for the position to become permanent.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide tailored support to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
- Assist in the development and implementation of Individualised Education Plans (IEPs)
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment
- Support students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs
- Work effectively with Looked After Children (LAC)
- Implement effective behaviour management strategies
Requirements:
- Experience working with KS3/4 students
- Strong behaviour management skills
- Experience with LAC and SEMH is highly advantageous
- Ability to build positive relationships with students and staff
- Patience, empathy, and a passion for supporting students with SEN
