About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Key Stage 1 Teacher to join a vibrant and supportive primary school community in Barking and Dagenham. This is a fantastic opportunity for an inspiring teacher to make a real difference in the lives of young learners. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching and learning experiences, ensuring that each child reaches their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons in line with the national curriculum for Key Stage 1.
  • Create a nurturing and stimulating classroom environment that supports all pupils' social and emotional development.
  • Assess, record, and report on the progress and attainment of pupils, providing feedback that helps them improve.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to plan and implement a creative and cohesive curriculum.
  • Build positive relationships with parents and carers, keeping them informed of their child's progress.
  • Contribute to the wider school community through participation in events, meetings, and professional development.

About You:
To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and experience teaching in Key Stage 1.
  • A thorough understanding of the Key Stage 1 curriculum and assessment procedures.
  • Strong classroom management skills with a focus on positive behaviour strategies.
  • A passion for teaching and a commitment to fostering a love of learning in young children.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues.
  • Flexibility, resilience, and a proactive approach to your professional development.
