Procurement Manager / IT Contract Management

This role is known within the organisation as an IT Procurement and Contracts Manager

SALARY: £55,784 - £61,139 pro rata+ Generous Benefits (see below)

LOCATION: Hybrid split between working from home and the office in Wokingham.

JOB TYPE: Full-Time, 18 Month Fixed Term Contract

WORKING HOURS: 37 hours per week

JOB OVERVIEW

We have a fantastic new job opportunity for an IT Procurement Managerwith experience in undertaking IT procurement / commissioning activities and an excellent understanding of the Public Contracts regulations 2015, who has excellent staff leadership, management and IT skills, specifically in PowerPoint, Excel and e-procurement software.

As the IT Procurement Manager you will join a proactive procurement team, playing a pivotal role in providing specialist advice in support of procurement, contract management and commercial initiatives in relation to IT contracts.

Working as an IT Procurement Manager you will use your expertise to lead IT projects related to major procurements within the organisation, and participate in the development of corporate policy, strategy and plans. This includes responding to changes in contract management and procurement legislation and guidance.

DUTIES

Your duties as the IT Procurement Managerwill include:

  • Provide functional and/or operational support and leadership to the IT Procurement and Contracts Specialist ensuring the provision of professional services that meet customer needs
  • Acting as member of corporate IT project teams - providing specialist advice and input
  • Contributing to IT strategy, performance and quality control, and service and financial planning
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues across the organisation, Members and managing key relationships e.g. with members, partners, other stakeholders
  • Assisting the development of, and ongoing operation of, the Procurement, Contracts and Commercialisation Team promoting best practice across the organisation in relation to IT procurement and contract management

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

  • Experience and excellent understanding of the Public Contracts regulations 2015 and the implications of the procurement act 2023
  • Experience in undertaking IT procurement/commissioning activities overseeing all elements of the commissioning cycle
  • Relevant professional qualifications such as Chartered Institute of Procurement and supply or a recognised business qualification
  • Strong IT skills specifically in PowerPoint and Excel
  • Experience of using e-procurement software
