Michael Page Finance are delighted to be partnering an established market leader in the B2B Consumer Manufacturing sector. Based near Harrow, the business turnover £110million and are a key business within a group of companies (£500m turnover).
The business source, import, manufacture and distribute high quality materials and products to their established customer base.
Description
- The financial health and liquidity of the business, reporting and advising on risk and opportunities
- Lead the day-to-day finance department and develop the accounts team (3 direct reports)
- Liaise closely with other group entities to ensure best practice
- Management of balance sheets and profit/loss statements
- Production of the monthly management accounts and board packs
- Lead and prepare the annual budget process working closely with all departments
- Lead and prepare the forecasts and re-forecast process
- Oversee all accounting transactions
- Develop and utilise FX strategies
- Preparation and publishing of financial statements
- Deliver the monthly, quarterly and annual closings
- Oversee and deliver all reconciliation of accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Develop a productive relationship with Banks and external bodies and ensure timely bank payments
- Compute and preparation of all tax returns
- Work closely with company's accountants on bookkeeping and tax
- Audit financial transactions and documents
- Develop and deliver a robust control environment and comply with financial policies and regulations
- Ad-hoc projects as required
Profile
A successful Financial Controller will be:
- Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
- Work experience as an Accountant in a trading business managing imported products costings and logistics
- Prior people leadership
- Prior non-finance stakeholder management with the ability to influence
- Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures, including (GAAP)
- Hands-on experience with accounting software - bespoke and standard
- Advanced MS Excel skills including lookups and pivot tables
- Experience with general ledger functions
- Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills
