Transport Operations Supervisor

My well-established client is looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Transport Operations Supervisor to join their busy Transport Operations Team. This role is ideal for someone with a background in Operations and/or Transport, ready to support their Operations Manager and Assistant Manager in maintaining the highest standards of service.
Day to day of the role:
- Utilise Google Workspace and various internal and external systems to manage transport operations effectively.
- Update and amend system information, including Drivers Hours Records, accounting for missing mileage, producing Telematic records, and processing DBS Checks.
- Assist the Operations Manager with the Transport Operation of our 24/7 business.
- Manage the initial stages of any incident investigations.
- Liaise with various customers, both internal and external.
- Handle general enquiries via phone, email, and in person.
- Communicate effectively with other departments.
- Assist with the management of a small team of Cleaning Staff and record their hours.
- Support various general administrative tasks and assist other departments within the office.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proficiency in Google Workspace, especially Google Sheets.
- A good working knowledge of Transport legislation is a major advantage.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment.
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- A proactive, can-do attitude.
