An exciting opportunity has arisen in Capital Markets Finance, reporting to the Group Head of Finance, Capital Markets and Risk Intelligence. The division comprises several businesses including the Equities, FX and Tradeweb.

The Role;

This role requires a dedicated and experienced finance business partner who can work closely with the business leaders including the Group Head of FX and broader FX leadership team, and various partners across the Tradeweb team, across the LSEG Finance team and various other partners.

Role Responsibilities & Key Accountabilities

  • Partner the business across strategic decision making particularly in relation to the FX business within Capital Markets
  • Use underlying trends, future business plans and external market factors to assist with the composition of short-term forecasts (current financial year), budgets (next financial year) and multi year plans to ensure robust performance management;
  • Build a strong relationship with the Tradeweb finance team to ensure there is a good understanding of their performance, strategy and risks and opportunities within the Group. Foster collaboration and knowledge sharing with the team.
  • Maintain a detailed knowledge and understanding of business drivers and bring a comprehensive understanding of how these fit into Group strategy;
  • Assess strategic scenarios and model various initiatives, including scenario and sensitivity analysis to facilitate decision making
  • Maintain and develop strong working relationships across the organisation beyond finance and the business, specifically partnering with FP&A, IR and Strategy teams to deliver best in class analysis and processes
  • Challenge and make recommendations with respect to performance against budget, budget setting and financial viability of new divisional initiatives.
  • Provide valuable analysis & commentary of the results to business and finance partners
  • Partner with Financial Control to deliver robust results, and support relevant regulatory reporting submissions
  • Prepare monthly performance updates for leadership ensuring key risks, issues and opportunities are highlighted, with a focus on key value drivers
  • Build a versatile team maximising efficiency of production through collaboration with other finance teams
  • Drive the transformation of finance demanding best in class solutions and challenging the status quo
  • Lead M&A activities, including but not limited to owning financial modelling, sizing synergies. Work closely with the Strategy team for valuation and target tracking
  • Work closely with the FX sales team on commercial policy and commissions approach to create value for the business

Qualifications & Experience

  • Significant work experience demonstrating progression through various finance roles
  • Demonstrate experience of partnering and influencing senior business partners in a matrix environment
  • Commercially minded able to influence change across finance and related functions
  • Demonstrate strong analytical, organizational, and project management abilities
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • A high level of interpersonal skills and an ability to function effectively as part of a global team that coordinates, works, and reports out of different geographies
  • Degree qualified and accounting certification (CPA, CA etc.) and / or MBA
