Head of Leaving Care - Private Social Care - West Midlands

We're working with a prominent established care provider in the West Midlands to recruit a Head of Leaving Care. The role involves spearheading a comprehensive strategy across national care schemes, focusing on supported living services aimed at young people within the leaving care arena.

Responsibilities will include safeguarding Care Leavers, collaborating with other services, staff supervision, overseeing pathway plans and risk management, and leading your team to achieve optimal outcomes for our Care Leavers

Requirements of the Role:
Essential:

  • Knowledge of, or direct experience working with Care Leavers
  • To provide and practice strategic leadership, management and advice on all issues related to Care Leavers
  • Strong command of leaving care and ofsted legislation, guidance, policy, and procedures
  • Capability to input and maintain accurate computerised information and records
  • Work with the internal bid team and commissioners to design and develop services
  • Ability to work independently, manage, and prioritise workload under pressure
  • Knowledge of legislation, guidance, policy, and procedures specific to Care Leavers
  • Familiar with Ofsted requirements
  • Experience working with children and young people subject to or at risk of exploitation, including modern-day slavery and trafficking
  • Ability to collaborate with other services to support the needs of Care Leavers

Salary - £65K-£75k DOE

You will work within a highly dynamic and supportive management group. Your role will be central in launching and mobilising supported living services for Care Leavers to lead happy and fulfilled lives and achieving outcomes.
