Clinical Deputy Manager

We're delighted to be recruiting a Clinical Deputy Manager for a state of the art dementia specialist care home in Berkshire. Part of a leading elderly care charity this is an excellent opportunity to lead the day to day running of the homes 22 bedded nursing community.

Working closely with the General Manager, this role supports the delivery of quality care to the homes nursing residents and involves assuming overall leadership duties in their absence. Responsibilities include ensuring care standards, motivating, and developing the homes dedicated and highly skilled staff team.

Responsibilities:

  • The primary focus is to ensure residents' needs and wishes are at the centre of the care provided.
  • Conducting regular audits across the home.
  • Supervising and developing team members.
  • Managing risks within the home to ensure compliance with relevant legislation, regulations, and policies.
  • Preparing, implementing, and reviewing personal care plans.
  • Medication management.
  • Assist in the interview recruitment process, in conjunction with the home manager and be responsible for mentoring new staff.

Requirements:

  • You'll need to be a Registered Nurse (RGN/RMN) with current NMC registration.
  • Experience working at a supervisory team leadership level in a similar (ideally elderly care) person centred care and support role, within a registered care setting.
  • Knowledge of and ability to apply the Health and Social Care Act 2008 (Regulated Activities) Regulations 2010, the Care Quality Commission (Registration) Regulations 2009 and the Care Act 2014/15.
  • Experience of managing teams; manage staff performance, apply formal disciplinary processes, and develop and retain talent.

Salary:

  • Salary negotiable DOE | 37.5hrs per week
