About the Role:
TimePlan Education is looking for a caring and dedicated Primary Teaching Assistant - 1:1 to support a student on a one-to-one basis in a primary school in Hemel Hempstead. This is a full-time role, where you will work closely with a child who requires additional support, ensuring they can fully access the curriculum and thrive in the school environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 support to a student with SEN (Special Educational Needs) in the classroom and during other school activities.
- Work closely with the class teacher to implement individual learning plans (ILPs) and adapt learning materials as needed.
- Foster a positive and encouraging relationship with the student to support their social, emotional, and academic development.
- Help manage any behavioural challenges and ensure a safe, supportive learning environment.
- Collaborate with school staff, SENCO, and parents to monitor and report on the student's progress.
Ideal Candidate:
- Experience working with SEN children or young people is highly desirable.
- Some classroom experience or experience working with young people in other settings.
- Compassionate, patient, and committed to making a positive difference in a child's education.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and follow direction from teaching staff.
- DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
