We are currently recruiting on behalf of our client who are based in Luton that are looking for a Business Development Manager to come and join the team.

The role of a Business Development Manager exists to meet customer requirements with the provision of freight forwarding and logistics services. The client are looking for an experienced Air Freight Business Development Manager with an existing client base, that can make an immediate impact.

Responsibilities of a Business Development Manager:

  • Maintain and develop key accounts for Air Imports / Exports, you will also be able to pick up road freight and sea freight business too.
  • Develop and implement business development strategies to achieve sales targets and expand the company's market share in Air, Road and Sea Freight.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities through various channels such as networking, industry events, cold calling, online research and oversea conferences.
  • work closely with internal teams such as operations, customer service, and finance to ensure seamless service delivery and client satisfaction.
  • Identify opportunities to upsell additional services and cross sell other modes of freight to existing clients.

Experience required for this Business Development Manager Role:

  • Minimum 2 year's experience in sales for a Freight Forwarder.
  • Air Freight Client base is preferred
  • Full driving licence is required
  • Will need to regularly commute to Luton (Head office) This could possibly be Once / Twice per week.

Hours: 09:00 - 17:30

Salary: £40,000 - £70,000
