Robert Half are currently recruiting a Management Accountant for an international business based in Pontypridd.
This is a really exciting opportunity to join a newly formed team, going through a period of positive change, due to growth and acquisitions. The successful candidate will act as Management Accountant across various lines of business, and provide full financial support on areas such as month end, budgeting and forecasting, management reporting and financial closing.
Location: Pontypridd
Annual Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 dependant on experience and qualifications
Office / WFH: On site 5 days per week for the first 3 months, then able to work 2 days from home per week.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage financial systems and ensures accurate accounting practices (local & group).
- Prepare month-end financials, journals, and asset schedules.
- Oversee technical accounting tasks in core financial system.
- Provide accurate financial data for consolidation and reporting.
- Liaise with external auditors and ensures timely information access.
- Design and deliver management reports for key stakeholders.
- Analyse monthly costs and KPIs, investigate variations and trends.
- Oversee cost accounting for efficient current and future operations.
- Drive implementation and usage of Power BI tools for data-driven insights.
- Prepare and analyse budgets and forecasts for cost control.
Your Profile:
- Qualified / Part-Qualified or QBE Accountant
- Experience using ERP systems is desirable
- Excellent Excel skills
- Excellent communicator
- Plans & organises their own work effectively
- Possess the ability to engage with colleagues at a variety of levels
- The ability to work independently and in a small finance team
