Commissioning Engineer
Location: UK Wide
Salary: £44,000 - £49,000 per annum (Depending on experience, including car allowance)
For the last 25 years, the company have been providing Electrical Inspection, Test and Documentation services to many of the UK's leading Companies.
They specialise in the delivery of large and technically challenging new build construction projects such as Hospitals, Stadiums, Enterprise Data Centers, Hyperscale Data Centers, Renewable Energies, Major Construction and Pharmaceutical buildings.
The company is one of Europe's leading Data Centre Contractors and has commissioned/Inspected & Tested over 200 Data Centers across the EU.
They undertake and have a proven track record for projects within the UK and EU and are active members of the Electrical Contractors Association (ECA), National Inspection Council for Electrical Installation Contracting (NICEIC), Building Services Research and Information Association (BSRIA), The Contractors' Health and Safety Assessment Scheme (CHAS) and Constructionline.
They are looking for experienced Commissioning Electrical Engineers or experienced Installing Electrical Engineers who are looking to step up and progress their careers.
The Role
The core role is inspect, test and document large new build projects and existing electrical installations to the highest possible standards using latest available test instruments.
Using laptop for inputting data to GMES system on daily basis ensuring that data is both secure and easily accessible.
Working on New Build construction sites where health and Safety regulations are followed. You will be required to work away from home depending on the project location (All extra costs are covered by a Company)
Skills and Qualifications
- CSCS ECS Gold Card
- 2391 - City&Guilds or equivalent
- BS7671 - 18th edition
- Minimum 1-year previous testing experience in commercial environments (Desirable)
- Experience working as a Supervisor (Desirable)
- Proven experience in commercial electrical testing.
- Strong knowledge of electrical regulations and safety standards in commercial environments. Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to producing accurate results.
- A valid driver's licence and willingness to travel and work away on various commercial sites across UK
