Gas and Electric Training Manager

About the role:

We are looking for a Training Manager to take charge of improving the training function for our Premier Installations team. Our training team supports a fleet of fully qualified Gas Engineers and Electric installers to be the best they can be whilst always remaining fully compliant. We collaborate with different teams to boost performance and ensure continuous improvement with streamlining process and making sure we have a robust system in place. Excellent knowledge of the Gas and Electrical industry is essential for this role.

Working as a team is our secret to success, which is why we are expected to be in the office based in Crewe, Cheshire Monday-Friday however with having 17 outbases nationwide there will be an expectation to travel and as when needed.

Here's What You Can Expect To Be Doing

  • Design and implement ongoing training programmes for existing and new Gas Engineers or Electric Installers.
  • Manage and support our amazing apprenticeship programme.
  • Manage the onboarding plans for new starters to make sure they are set up for success from day 1.
  • Responsible for all training documents, including risk assessments and method statements- reviewing continually.
  • Develop and implement a new eLearning platform.
  • Building relationships with key stakeholders including manufactures.
  • Support and develop the training for internal departments including our contact centre.
  • Management of our team of technical trainers.
  • Manage 6-weekly meetings with our engineers.
  • Implement a length of service refresh training programme.
  • Organise and manage annual training days.

A Few Things About You:

  • Excellent Gas and Electrical knowledge essential.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong operational knowledge (White goods/Domestic desirable).
  • Excellent IT skills including Microsoft 365 systems.
  • Great attention to detail.
