Our client is currently looking for a dedicated Welder to join their team within the Oil & Gas equipment manufacturing sector. With a heritage spanning over four decades, they pride themselves on delivering high-quality subsea components and systems. This role is an excellent opportunity to become part of a respected engineering group that employs a skilled workforce of nearly 300.

To be successful in this Welder role, you will:

  • Be time served with an NVQ level 3 in welding and fabrication, or equivalent.
  • Experienced in TIG, MMA essential and capable of welding 6G.
  • Proven experience in fabrication working to detailed drawings.
  • Be familiar with a wide range of materials including Non-Ferrous, Aluminium, Alloy Steel, Stainless Steel, Inconel, and Titanium.
  • Demonstrate adherence to daily quality controls to ensure right first time towards welding activities that include 100% Radiographic Testing (RT), Non Destructive Testing (NDT) and visual examination.
  • Have a can-do attitude and work well with others in a team environment.
  • Be flexible in your approach - willing to work overtime when required to suit customer requirements.
  • Be willing to increase your knowledge and train on other machining processes.
  • Be willing to pass on your knowledge and train others.

After a successful interview, candidates will complete a weld test involving a 6" Carbon steel pipe with Inconel 625 internal inlay. The test will use TIG (root) and MMA (fill and cap) techniques in the 6G position, subject to Radiographic Testing (RT) and additional inspection.

Working Hours:

  • 38 hours basic per week
  • Monday to Thursday: 7.30am to 4pm
  • Friday: 7.30am to 1.30pm
