A leading Insurance company is looking for a Personal Lines BDM to join their team. The successful candidate will be target driven, sales focussed and have a proven track record in Insurance and sales environments. The Role

The Personal Lines BDM will be responsible for identifying business priorities and planning, generating new business, and managing and developing existing relationships with business partners. The successful candidate will work closely with the Managing Director and Business Manager to develop and implement new business strategies. They will also be responsible for conducting client visits and site surveys to assess risks and needs of potential new business, generating proposals for new business, and maintaining regular communication with the client base to ensure service provision in line with needs.

Key Responsibilities of the Personal Lines BDM:

  • Identify areas for growth
  • Grow effective working relationships
  • Co-ordinate sales effort with team members and other departments
  • Deal with incoming enquiries
  • Maximise business opportunities

Required knowledge and experience for the Personal Lines BDM role:

  • Experience of working with insurance brokers, MGA's and insurers
  • Excellent negotiation skills
  • Ability to build good professional working relationships
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, competent in delivering presentations
  • Commercially minded with good business acumen
